Topic: Make sure you can read Japanese!!

How embarrassing...

I've been using Celga to buy items from Japan Yahoo Auctions over the past few months. I finally got my order in today & for the most part it was as I expected. I got Bomberman Blast on the Wii (the Wiiware version doesn't have single player, the full retail version of the game only released in Japan does), Mobile Suit Gundam for the Wii, some Pizza Cats action figures & 1 model of Guido, a Pizza Cats Pizza Parlour Play set, Barcode Battler with SNES interface, some Dragonball Daizenshu & some SNES games...

I THOUGHT I had 4 games coming in:
Ranma 1/2 Hard Battle - Check
Dragonball Z: Super Gokuden 2 - Check
Conveni Wars Barcode Battler - Check
Super Mario Kart yellow pirate cartridge - Nope

I DID get Super Mario Kart in its box on a yellow cartridge, but it was the size of my finger. Turns out the 450yen game which I thought was a bargain was in fact an ERASER!!!!

Always make sure you can read Japanese before bidding on Japan Yahoo Auctions, or at least use Babelfish or something like that. Don't rely on pictures, because the way the picture was taken this looked like the real deal.

My girlfriend burst out laughing when I showed her & assured me she will not be letting me forget that one in a hurry smile

5490yen - This is the big one. I got:

- Super Famicom JR
- 2 SFC controllers
- 2 Capcom Fighting controllers
- 31 Games all loose

I have 5 more auctions on the go & it looks like I might end up with doubles or triples of some games. At least the lots are cheap enough. Postage on the other hand... well I'll complain about that when I get the invoice wink

Just decided to do a Buy It Now for 4500yen. I got:

Akumajou Dracula XX (Castlevania: Vampire's Kiss)
Gundam Wing: Endless Duel
Super Robot Wars: Lord of Elemental
& 2 games I don't know...

But Gundam Wing Endless Duel goes for over $60 alone on Ebay, so this is a nice bargain. Boxed & mint as well.
