I only want to sell in bulk, so I'm not interested in selling one or two issues on their own. I'd also prefer pickup but keep in mind that I live in Gawler. I can ship them out if you really want, but the shipping price will likely be astronomical... these things are heavy. Make me offers!

PC Format magazines from the first couple years (mostly the first one). In okay condition, will separate with these ones for fairly cheap.

MacAddict magazines. One of the greatest computer magazines of all time. Great content, great sense of humour and really nice, clean art design. Almost perfect condition. Will separate from these at a low-mid price, mainly because I have so many to get rid of!

Sega Megazone, NMS and some other odds and bits. Condition of these ones is quite ragged... will separate from them for cheap considering that.

Megazone magazine... before the Sega ones. Good condition and quite rare, a good price will have to be offered for these.

PCPowerPlay, from around 2000. Good condition, will separate from them for cheap since they're not that old.

First eleven issues of EDGE. Almost perfect condition. Will have to make me a very good offer for these. A similar collection went for over $200 on eBay.

Even more MacAddict.

Ultra Game Players, decent condition. From around 96-97. Will separate from them for pretty cheap.

Next generation/ Next Gen magazines. Good condition. Give me a decent offer.

Collection of UK Sega magazines, good condition. Make me a decent offer.

Retrogamer issues, some from the first year and some more recent ones. The older ones are quite collectable so you'll have to make me a good offer for that lot.

It's been a while since I saw a post in here, so I thought I'd give it some life

At the moment I've been collecting all things Sega

really getting back into my Mega Drive games. Got a nice collection that keeps on growing (150 + games, that are mostly complete and in good condition). I hadn't touch the system in over 10 years but got the urge to re-live some of the old platformers, beat em ups, shooters, etc. This made me realise how great the system was (and in my eyes still is). The system is greater for speed, hence why there were so many shooters on the system.

I also have fair decent Saturn collection, with my pride and glory being all 3 Panzer Dragoon games in excellent to mint condition

My dreamcast collection is very small, as I never owned it growing up (and didn't interest me at first), but now realising the system has its quirky games you can't find on any other systems

Finally I have 30 or so master system games that aren't in the greatest condition but seem to work fine running through the adapter on the mega drive

- Future purchases: Mega CD addon, the other Parodius games for the Saturn

Any idea where to get a front-loader NES?

I have a few old consoles, but I'm considering getting a NES. I'm missing out on a lot of retro games, and emulators don't really cut it. Any idea where I can get one in SA, and if so, for how much? I don't care if it's PAL or NTSC, but I would like to see it in person (usually I would go to ebay, but not for a console). I would also prefer a front loader for various reasons. If you're selling one, don't count on me buying it, I'm just checking out prices at the moment.

P.S. I considered getting an FC Twin, so I could play SNES and NES games on the same console, but I've decided against getting a clone.

Yes I actually bought a PAL game: Donald Duck in Maui Mallard on the SNES, boxed with book for $16... Then I see a US copy in the same condition for $7... oh well...

Amusementworx Auction - 15th of August

On the 15th of August Amusementworx will be hosting another auction. It's a great day & you can get some real bargains in both cabinets & arcade boards, as well as pinball machines. I was in the shop today & it's jam packed full of pinnies & cabinets. Apparently they're doing a letterbox drop of 50,000 flyers, so this is going to be a BIG event.

Rather than posting a new topic every time I acquire something awesome, I'm just going to post it all in a single topic. And the Awesomeness is pretty epic from the last couple of weeks.

About two weeks ago I went to elizabeth Cash Converters and was surprised to find a lot of SNES stuff there including a bunch of boxed games. This is what I picked up -

- Universal adaptor (so I can play NTSC games on my PAL system) - $20
- Starfox - $12
- Boxed Ren and Stimpy Veediots! (NTSC) - $20
- Boxed Out of This World (NTSC) - $12

A few days later when I had more cash I went back and bought these -

- Super Mario World (With manual, SNES console instructions, card for Nintendo helpline and SNES game promo poster I assume came with a console all sealed up in a ziplock bag) - $25
- Boxed The Lawnmower Man (NTSC) - $20
- Boxed Super Mario Kart - $45
- Boxed Donald Duck in Maui Mallard - $25
- Boxed Donkey Kong Country - $35
- Donkey Kong Country 2 - $25

(All boxed games in this post came with manuals and NTSC games had the plastic protectors - most games were in bags inside the box too)

I'm not sure if I got a good deal or not but i'm pretty stoked with what I bought.

I have more coming from Ebay soon and I'll post it here when it arrives.

How embarrassing...

I've been using Celga to buy items from Japan Yahoo Auctions over the past few months. I finally got my order in today & for the most part it was as I expected. I got Bomberman Blast on the Wii (the Wiiware version doesn't have single player, the full retail version of the game only released in Japan does), Mobile Suit Gundam for the Wii, some Pizza Cats action figures & 1 model of Guido, a Pizza Cats Pizza Parlour Play set, Barcode Battler with SNES interface, some Dragonball Daizenshu & some SNES games...

I THOUGHT I had 4 games coming in:
Ranma 1/2 Hard Battle - Check
Dragonball Z: Super Gokuden 2 - Check
Conveni Wars Barcode Battler - Check
Super Mario Kart yellow pirate cartridge - Nope

I DID get Super Mario Kart in its box on a yellow cartridge, but it was the size of my finger. Turns out the 450yen game which I thought was a bargain was in fact an ERASER!!!!

Always make sure you can read Japanese before bidding on Japan Yahoo Auctions, or at least use Babelfish or something like that. Don't rely on pictures, because the way the picture was taken this looked like the real deal.

My girlfriend burst out laughing when I showed her & assured me she will not be letting me forget that one in a hurry

Been buying up PC-FX stuff:

Well... they're more demo discs really...

Chip Chan Kick for 9,000 円

A second controller for 800 円

Memory card for 4,500 円

Last Imperial Prince for 1,800 円

They're all the Buy it Nows. I have some other games I'm bidding on, but have to wait for the auctions to end.
